America’s Boating Club - Golden Corner Lakes is conducting an online safe boating courses on five consecutive Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on April 6, 13, 20, 27 and May 4.  The course will teach you about types of boats and their uses, safety equipment, anchoring, trailering, navigation rules and aids, state and local regulations, how to handle emergencies, personal watercraft (PWC) operation, communications, knot tying and much more.  After completing the course, there is an option to have on-the-water training, if desired.  Completion of the course by your 12–16 year old will allow them to get a certificate for PWC operation.  The course consists of virtual classes for each session and an in-person exam on the last class which is May 4, the locations for each to be determined.  There is no cost for the course other than $35. for a manual which can be shared by family members.  Please preregister for the course by calling Ron Osburn at (864) 972-2434 or email Ron at  Meeting particulars will be provided to preregistered students.
